How an exclusive candle project with artist Lina Štalyte was born: music, scents, and emotion
Sometimes, the most beautiful creative projects are born where different art forms meet. This February, I had the opportunity to create a special, very personal candle collection for Lithuanian artist Lina Štalyte, who has been living and creating in Paris for over twelve years.
This project was inspired by her newly released album "Vasaros naktys" (Summer Nights) - a subtle, romantic, and sensual world of music that we wanted to translate into scents.
Experiencing music through aroma
When creating these handmade soy wax candles, I aimed not only for aesthetics but also for an emotional connection. Every detail was carefully considered:
- The candle design matched the album cover
- Scents were chosen to reflect the mood of the music
- An exclusive merch product was created to complement the artist's work
Lina herself actively participated in the creative process and chose two scents that best reflect her music:
• Jasmine and coffee - a warm, cozy, yet mysterious combination
• Wild amber and violet - a deep, romantic, and slightly alluring scent
These aromas convey what listeners feel at her concerts - peace, warmth, and subtle emotional tension.
Presentation at "Music Hall" Litexpo
These unique candles were first presented at the Vilnius Book Fair, in the "Music
Hall" at the Litexpo space. It was not only a product launch but also a live meeting with people who appreciate creativity, authenticity, and originality.
Visitors could not only get acquainted with the artist's music but also "smell" her creations - this created a completely new experience.
