Is it possible to breathe in the sea breeze, rustling pine trees, and the silence of a sunset in one candle? That was exactly the special assignment I received from the wonderful women – Rasa and Ieva, the founders of “Jūros draugas / Maramikos”. Their vision was clear: to create a fragrance that would remind us of our beloved Baltic Sea – not only its waters, but also the entire seaside atmosphere.
This scent is not just an aroma, but an emotion. It tells of the freedom of the sea, of a sandy path through a pine forest towards the waves, of sunsets accompanied by a gentle breeze and the rhythm of the waves. When creating this candle, I collected not only scent notes, but also moods – all those small but deeply familiar moments that we keep in our memories of the seaside.
I am especially happy that this candle has become part of an exclusive collection that you can find at the Lithuanian Maritime Museum . Together with the assortment created by “Maramikos”, the candle reflects not only the aesthetic spirit of the seaside, but also a very important message – the entire collection is created from recycled plastic , collected both on land and at sea. This is a project that not only delights with its scent, but also encourages sustainable solutions and care for our environment.
